Munich

We've been a bit busy. This past week we traveled to Munich to visit one of Miri's close friends. We decided to break the drive up a bit and stay in a town called Wurtsburg on the way. We didn't have anyone to stay the night with there so called a friend who organised for us to stay with one of her friends. Nice guy but it is also very weird to stay at someone's house you have no connection with, and when you arrive find out you are also sleeping in the same room as him.

Anyway Miri and I had an interesting night's sleep after wondering around town (Photos to come as Miri has them on her phone...forgot to put the memory card back in the camera that night).

Early-ish next morning we made it to Munich where we found a parking spot, ate some lunch and then went wandering in the city. Munich is the most expensive city to live in in Germany. It is very beautiful with some amazing parks and spectacular buildings. We found a park and had a bit of a snooze and then caught up with Kim (Miri's friend). She is doing an internship there with IBM and is staying across the road from the grounds where Oktoberfest is held. It takes 3 months for them to build everything for the festival and it is pretty amazing to watch what they are producing.

This is not the car we drove in...I thought it would be hilarious to see any of the men in my family climb out of it though.

Was a fun evening.
